With Four Hands and Four Feet

WITH FOUR HANDS & FOUR FEET Opening Concert of the Organ Summer at Hallgrímskirkja Sunday, July 5 at 5 PM. At this concert, the organists of Hallgrímskirkja, Björn Steinar Sólbergsson and Steinar Logi Helgason, will perform on both of the church’s organs: the Klais concert organ in the west end and the Frobenius choir organ by the chancel steps. The program features works by Eugène Gigout, Johann Pachelbel, Johann Bernhard Bach, Jón Nordal, and Maurice Ravel. They will also perform Prelude & Choral (organ arrangement) for two organs by Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson, a work that was premiered at the inauguration of the great Klais organ in 1992.
